Currency.com, the exchange helping users connect with the booming world of cryptocurrencies, has announced an expansion into the US, Coin Text learned from a press release. US clients will be able to access the website from 1 May 2022.
Strong global growth
Currency.com’s expansion into the US is a consequence of impressive global growth. In 2021, its trading activity was up by 445% year-over-year. The total number of trades carried out on the crypto exchange grew by 409% in the same period.
Simplified onboarding, fiat-to-crypto wallet
Currency.com US will feature a faster, more streamlined onboarding procedure and fiat-to-crypto payment gateways. This makes US clients the first to benefit from faster and simpler onboarding and more effective performance.
Currency.com US CEO Steve Gregory said:
Our expansion into the United States represents a milestone moment in the growth of Currency.com as we introduce our simplified, intuitive web-based platform to one of the world’s most mature cryptocurrency markets.
The US version of the platform will make it possible for US residents to buy, hold, and invest in the most popular cryptocurrencies. It will be available in 48 US states and territories.
Hawaii and New York are notably missing from the list for now, but adding them is a matter of months. What’s more, Currency.com’s fiat-to-crypto capability will ensure the flexibility to hold, buy and invest in popular cryptos.
Users of the new crypto wallet can buy or sell cryptocurrencies seamlessly by credit card and link their bank accounts with their Currency.com accounts.
Gregory added:
Lengthy turnaround times and cumbersome registration processes are some of the main sources of frustration for online investors. With Currency.com’s new simplified onboarding, a process that usually takes our competitors a couple of days, will take us just a matter of minutes, if not seconds. Our mission is to help make it easy and safe for everyone to invest in cryptocurrencies. We make buying and holding cryptocurrencies so simple and intuitive that you no longer think of it as ‘cryptic’- it’s just new money.
Currency.com’s US platform will feature Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin Cash in the beginning. More cryptocurrencies will be added over time.
